If there is one weakness that ATS Racing has, it's that we are so busy
working on customer's projects, that it is hard for potential customers to reach
us. When we saw Ken Blake was available, we realized that he is uniquely suited
to address this problem for us, since he is known for being very accessible, via
phone, email, and AOL Instant Messenger, and he is a walking encyclopedia of MR2
knowledge.
Ken really needs no introduction as he has been around MR2's even longer than
me. His technical support skills are second only to his customer service skills.
Ken and I have had our differences in opinions in the past (which I am sure will
continue ;-), but I have always admired his passion for MR2s. Ken and I first
met back in 1998 when he bought my GForce ecu for his 91 MR2. Shortly after he
upgraded to his 93T named the Deuce Coupe. Ken and I first met in person at SEMA
in Las Vegas (1999?). Ken also played host to Todd McClendon and I back in 2000
when we did our record All-trac engine swap in Ken's garage (the short version
is that Todd bought a non running All-Trac on tuesday. We swapped in an MR2
engine on Wednesday/Thursday, and then drive all night (and day) from Portland
to Texas).
Ken is spending the next week at SEMA. Starting Wednesday, November 10, Ken will
be answering all parts related questions, to include price and delivery
quotations, technical inquiries about our products, and installation/operation
tech support questions that our existing customers may have. We will have a
dedicated phone number assigned for this purpose, and Ken will also be available
via email and instant messenger, as always.
ATS and Ken are both very excited about this collaboration, and believe that it
will be of great benefit to the MR2 community as a whole, and ATS customers in
particular.
